Participants will have the opportunity to explore the fundamental principles of patient engagement, recognize patients&#8217; unique expertise in their experience of illness, and identify the range of their experiential knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The course will emphasize the essential role of patient partners in the decision-making process, and provide practical strategies for implementing partnership in the specific context of continuous quality improvement (CQI). Finally, participants will learn how to apply best practices for engaging patient partners in CQI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The &#8220;Patient Engagement in Continuous Quality Improvement&#8221; training course is asynchronous, meaning that registrants can view its video content at their own pace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>At the end of this course, you will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Describe the basic elements of the patient engagement approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand that patient partners are experts in living with illness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the range of patients&#8217; experiential knowledge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand the role of patient partners in the decision-making process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementing partnership in a CQI context<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply best practices for engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Target audience<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Patient partners, researchers, clinical staff, managers and all other players in the health and social services network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/ssa.illuxi.com\/activites\/le-partenariat-patient-en-amelioration-continue-de-la-qualite-6645\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Register (the training is in French only)<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How can you effectively integrate patient partners into a continuous quality improvement process?
