This gathering of stakeholders from different key sectors (patient partners, researchers and clinicians, private businesses, ethics specialists, etc.) led to publication of a report titled <em>Les indicateurs de sant\u00e9 et d\u2019exp\u00e9rience rapport\u00e9s par les patients et les patientes. Conduire le changement pour l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des soins<\/em> (Patient-reported health and experience indicators: Driving change to improve care). The document summarizes the observations from that day and compiles the recommendations of the PaRIS-OCDE Qu\u00e9bec team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Authors and contributors<\/strong>: Marie-Eve Poitras (main author), Jeannie Haggerty, Sara Ahmed, Magaly Brodeur, Maude Laberge, Sylvie Lambert, Nadia Souria, Regina Visca, Diana Zidarov, Vanessa T.&nbsp;Vaillancourt, Am\u00e9lie Fournier<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PREMs and PROMs, central to the vision of the Unit\u00e9 de soutien SSA Qu\u00e9bec<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patient-reported outcome and experience measures (PREMs and PROMs) are one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ssaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/expertise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">areas of expertise<\/a> the Unit\u00e9 de soutien SSA Qu\u00e9bec provides to help establish a learning health system in Quebec. The Unit is helping to fund the PaRIS-OECD Quebec survey. Its team includes three of the report\u2019s authors, <strong>Marie-Eve Poitras, Sara Ahmed and Maude Laberge<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ssaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/the-unit\/team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The publication of the recommendations report is a step toward integrating data science into clinical and organizational practices in Quebec. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/ssaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/PREM_PROM_Rapport_recommandations_.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download the report (in French)<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are patient-reported health and experience indicators?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PROMs (Patient-reported outcome measures) and PREMs (Patient-reported experience measures) refer to data gathered by clinicians that can only be obtained from the patients themselves and that are not currently available to researchers in Quebec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While many organizations are sounding the alarm about the need to improve primary care performance, it is essential to explore the indicators of quality as perceived by people with chronic conditions in order to improve primary care and ultimately their health.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Source: Report: <em>Les indicateurs de sant\u00e9 et d\u2019exp\u00e9rience rapport\u00e9s par les patients et les patientes.
