{"id":10846,"date":"2021-08-31T13:44:20","date_gmt":"2021-08-31T17:44:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ssaquebec.wp.vortexdev.comprograms\/paris\/"},"modified":"2023-10-26T10:27:47","modified_gmt":"2023-10-26T14:27:47","slug":"paris","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ssaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/projects\/paris\/","title":{"rendered":"PaRIS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The objective of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oecd.org\/health\/paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PaRIS<\/a> survey is to develop and implement a new generation of health care system performance indicators based on patient-reported outcome measures (PROM) and patient-reported experience measures <a href=\"https:\/\/ssaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/expertise\/expanding-the-use-of-data\/\">(PREM)<\/a>, thereby providing standardized information internationally about what is most important for patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:17px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This survey, which was conducted in 17 countries, looks at PREMs and PROMs for adults living with one or several chronic conditions and who are managed in primary care with the aim of identifying the indicators that are common to all countries. Conduire le changement pour l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des soins<\/a><\/em>, p.&nbsp;11<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:17px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PaRIS is designed to fill in major gaps in primary health care, by raising questions about:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>access to health care and wait times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>quality of life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>physical function<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>psychological well-being<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This survey will also raise further questions related to provincial and regional priorities, and provide an opportunity for Quebec to generate complementary data to improve practices and actions in community care. The survey will be led by researchers involved in the <a href=\"https:\/\/accesrecherche.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Acc\u00e8s recherche<\/a> platform, a collaboration between the Unit and <a href=\"https:\/\/reseau1quebec.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">R\u00e9seau-1 Qu\u00e9bec, <\/a>established in the first SPOR phase. It covers approximately 50 Quebec clinics with an aim to facilitate research in actual outreach clinics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the survey, participants will also be asked to consent to survey data being combined with other clinical and administrative data to analyze and interpret care trajectories based on PREM and PROM indicators. The nine participants will also be asked to take part in the creation of a cohort\u2014the only one of its kind in the world\u2014designed to study care trajectories. This cohort will supplement the <a href=\"https:\/\/ssaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/news\/torsade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TorSaDE<\/a> cohort studying care trajectories and implemented during the first SPOR phase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marie-Eve Poitras<\/strong>, the Unit&#8217;s collaborator on the undergraduate demonstration project, will be in charge of this project. A professor at the Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke, an expert in PREMs and PROMs within the Unit\u00e9 de soutien SSA Qu\u00e9bec and a researcher actively involved in R\u00e9seau-1 Qu\u00e9bec and the R\u00e9seaux de recherche appliqu\u00e9e en pratiques de premi\u00e8re ligne (RRAPPL), she will be drawing on the expertise she acquired with the FACILE41 survey and cohort.
